Galtoni LT 1014 1969

The strain was isolated in 1964 from the kidneys of a cow in Azul, Argentina and studied at C.D.C. Atlanta (WHO, 1967). The description of the strain was published by Tedesco et al. (1969). These authors suggested the name galtoni. The strain appeared in the list of 1967 (WHO,1967) with the serovar name "azuli". However. this name is now considered illegitimate being not validly published.
