Corredores

Leptospira strain JICH 05 was isolated from a hospitalized leptospirosis patient in the province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. The isolate produced agglutination titers notably against members of serogroup Tarassovi.
The strain was considered to represent a new serovar, designated Corredores, of the serogroup Tarassovi. Multilocus sequence genotyping revealed that the strain belongs to Leptospira santarosai.
Remark: the abstract of the original paper mentions serogroup Pyrogenes for this serovar, however it should be Tarassovi.
