Kisuba Kisuba 1956

The strain was isolated from a patient in Zaire (former Belgian Congo) by Van Riel et al. (1956). In the list of 1965 (WHO, 1965) it is first mentioned as a separate serovar named kisuba, ref. strain Kisuba. Wolff and Bohlander (1960) studied the strain and approved its separate serological status.
