Navet TRVL 109873 1978

The strain was isolated in 1971 from the blood of a 15 year old boy in the village of Navet, Trinidad, and described as a new serovar named navet, ref. strain TRVL 109873 (Green et al., 1978). The new serovar was recognized by the TSC 1986 and is included in the Revised List of 1988 (Kmety & Dikken, 1988).
