Weaveri CZ 390 1966
The strain was isolated from urine of a patient in the Panama Canal Zone in 1961 and described as a new serovar of the Icterohaemorrhagiae serogroup (Gale et al., 1966).
In Dikken and Kmety's publication (1978) it was proposed that the strain should be listed as a member of the Sarmin subgroup of the Icterohaemorrhagiae serogroup. However, in the Revised List of 1988 it is included in the reestablished Sarmin serogroup (Kmety & Dikken, 1988).
